Aisha Buhari Urges Nigerians To Continue Praying For The President

“The President Will Be Back Soon”- AISHA BUHARI

Aisha Buhari, Wife of the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who is presently in London with her sick husband, has endeared Nigerians to continue to pray for the president and assured the country that the president is recovering very fast.

The wife of the president sent these consoling words from London through Dr. Hajo Sani, her Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on administration. Aisha Buhari, in a message through Dr. Hajo Sani at the 23rd Annual Ramadan Lecture of Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), thanked Nigerians for their prayers and support.

She also encouraged them to continue in their prayers for their President and that he is recovering rapidly from his ailment and will soon be back to rule country.

She said, “My husband is recovering very fast. And very soon, he will return to the country to resume his official duties. I thank Nigerians for their prayers for my husband. Please, do not relent in your prayers.”

On hearing the news on the condition of the president’s health, the Muslims faithful presence at the event filled the atmosphere with joy shouting, “Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!! Allahu Akbar!!!” (God is great).

She added that she has always been present at the Eid-el-Kabir festival held every year at the ADS Mosque in Maitama, Abuja, even before assuming office and was hopeful of being present this year.

On May 7, 2017 President Muhammadu Buhari, few weeks after his return from a previous medical trip, returned to the United Kingdom for an indefinite follow-up treatment.

Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, took to his twitter handler to announce the departure of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said “President Muhammadu Buhari travels tonight for medical follow-up. Length of stay to be determined by London doctors. Government will continue to function normally under the vice president”.
