The Ebonyi state House of Assembly, on Tuesday dissolved the newly appointed 13 local government Caretaker Committee Chairmen and the 28 Development Center Coordinators appointed by the state Governor, chief Martin Elechi.
The lawmakers hinged their resolution on the ground that the appointed Caretaker Committee members were not screened by the House.
According to their statement, the appointment of the 13 care-taker committee chairmen by the Governor was undemocratic and unacceptable within the members of the House.
The affected Commissions include; the Local Government Service Commission, LGSC, Civil Service Commission, CSC, Secondary Education Board, SEB, and the Universal Basic Education Board,UBEB.
The House has ordered the dismissed officers to hand over all government property under their possession to their Head of Personnel Management and Accounting officers before the close of the day.
They also ordered the Ebonyi State Police and the anti-graft agencies,the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions,EFCC, and Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Commission,ICPC, to investigate the financial transactions of the affected political office holders since they were called to office.
Meanwhile,the state Governor, Governor Elechi was ordered to before January 9, submit a comprehensive records of the internally generated revenue and federal allocation received and how they were spent since january, 2014.
