News broadcast from Iran has it that the South Korea’s Hyundai advance Company Group (HDC) has planned to invest in transportation projects and advance in the country’s northern port city of Anzali.

This superstructure offer was made opened during a recent assembly between an HDC delegate and the director general of Gilan region Ports and Maritime institute, Ali Naeimi.

During the meeting, Naeimi said the improvement of Anzali Port with transportation is required specifically given that it could be used for the transport of goods from Caspian states to Europe and other places.

This, he emphasized, can be carried out by transporting goods from Anzali to Iran’s southern port of Bandar Abbas and thereon to Europe and beyond. It is assumed that all the Shipments leaving from Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkmenistan get discharged at this port.

Hyundai presently has a share of 50 percent in a development to enlarge South Korea’s Pusan Port, which is known as the fourth largest container port in the world.

The task is estimated to provide the capacity to handle 13 million Twenty-Foot corresponding Unit (TEU) of trans-shipment cargo by 2020 level it second in the world.

Anzali is identified as Iran’s most significant northern port, which has 10 jetties with capacity 4 million tones of common goods and handles such property as steel, wood, automobiles.
