EBSU Work & Study Programme (WASP) – This is to inform Interested members of the public that the sales and processing of the 2014/2015 EBSU Work & Study Programme (WASP) Admission Form which had earlier been indicated to close on September 15, 2014, is hereby re-opened and extended to 15th January 2015.
Consequently, interested and qualified applicants desiring to enroll into the part-time programme EBSU Work and Study Programme (WASP) – of the University are hereby invited to purchase the admission form and apply on-line.
Similarly, the candidates who had earlier purchased the application forms and are short listed for interview are hereby invited to attend the admission interviews according to the schedules earlier announced.
All the conditions and terms governing sale of admission forms and for admission into the EBSU Work and Study Programme (WASP) – as earlier published still apply. For the avoidance of doubt, these conditions and terms are herewith re-produced:-
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT EBSU WORK & STUDY PROGRAMME (WASP)
Work and Study Programme (WASP) is a weekend programme designed to offer opportunities to talented, intelligent and qualified working adults in various fields of life endeavors to acquire university education without having to quit their jobs.
ABOUT NYSC AND WASP GRADUANDS.
Graduates of WASP DO NOT participate in the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), rather they are issued with Exclusion certificates from NYSC at the end of their programme.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR EBSU WORK & STUDY PROGRAMME (WASP)
The WASP requires (5) O’ Level credit passes or its equivalents (SSCE, NECO, TC II,NABTEB etc) at not more than 2 sittings for ALL courses.
The O’ Level subjects should be in relevant areas; for instance, credit pass in English Language is required for all courses, while Maths is required for Sciences, Social Sciences (except Mass Communication), Management Sciences, and Agricultural and Natural Resources Management.
Programme Plan
The programme offered in each department is the same as those of regular programme. The only difference is the mode of entrance, and mode of study. The length of time a candidate spends in the programme before graduation depends on the level of qualification upon entrance, for instance:
