The joint admission and matriculation board, JAMB, has instructed all universities in Nigeria to make sure that they are done with anything concerning the 2017/ 2018 jamb admission by the 25th of January. This information was released by the Head of jamb information and media, Mr Fabian Benjamin to the news agency of Nigeria (NAN) at Abuja.
According to him, it became very necessary for JAMB to instruct all university to round-up the admission process when all the issues surrounding it was taken into consideration. He also explained that it was due to the academic calendar which the board will like to meet up with.
In his statement, Mr Benjamin stated that;
“By implication, candidates who have gained admissions into various institutions and are yet to register or do not have admissions by January 25 should begin to make preparations for the 2018 UTME.

“The public must also note that the UTME results are valid for only one year and not three years as widely speculated.
“If changes are made on the validity, I assure you the board would communicate appropriately to the public.”
JAMB also recently made an announcement that the 2018 UTME will take place between March 9 and 17 of 2018, while its mock exam will be in February.
