If you follow football or even if you are one of those that watch the game once in a while. Then you will have heard of the Ballon d’Or. The prestigious award is one of the most widely recognized when it comes to rewarding players that have performed exceptionally in all competitions during a football year. With the year drawing to an end, this is the time the award comes up, and this year the 2018 Ballon d’Or Nomination List has been released.
The list has the names of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, the best FIFA player of the year – Luka Modric, Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, impressive goal stopper Thibaut courteous amongst many others. If Cristiano Ronaldo bags the award then it will be his sixth in eleven years.
