Cavani Breaks PSG Scoring Record as he Scores his 157th Goal for PSG

Paris Saint German’s forward and Uruguay national, Edison Cavani has achieved an incredible feat on Saturday as he scores his 157th goal for PSG, the game which was at PSG’s home, Parc de Prainces, saw the striker in top form and surpassed the former record which was 156 goals.

The game against Montpellier saw PSG win four goals to nil, and Cavani scored his record-breaking goal at the 11th minute. The goal made him surpass the record set by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The record could have been broken sooner though, as he had an opportunity to score Dijon again with a penalty, but he missed that chance.

He is also PSG highest scorer, having scored 175 goals in 229 appearances and 27 goals this season. PSG is also currently enjoying a great season, topping their league table and also reaching the round of 16 in champions. They have also now won their last three Ligue one games and are favorite to finish first in the league this season.

Edison Cavani joined PSG in 2013 from Napoli in a deal worth $79.5 million. He has since then been very instrumental in the team’s wins and with the help of Neymar and Mbappe, this season the Uruguayan national has been in top form.
