Pope Francis has named 17 new Catholic cardinals from around the world. New Catholic Cardinals List Named by Pope Francis include 13 who are under 80 years old and thus eligible to succeed him after his time. The new cardinals are representing Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe and Oceania.
