For the past few days, the atmosphere has been all about the FIFA world cup which kicked off on the 14th of this month. Well, there has also been some news on the club front and a lot of them has to do with transfers.
The goalkeeper of Bayer Leverkusen has now transferred to Arsenal. The 26-year old goalkeeper already has a complete deal with Arsenal but the transfer fee and the duration of his stay is also unknown for now. Bernd Leno has made 230 appearances for the German side and stayed in the Bundesliga for 7 seasons.
The news of the deal was further confirmed when the keeper tweeted the following;

Bernd Leno was born in Germany in 1992, and he started out his career as an under-17 keeper for Germany. He is the youngest player to have appeared in a champions league match. He has found the fancy of the new arsenal coach Unai Emery and became his second signings.
In a statement emery said;
“Bernd is a goalkeeper of high quality and experience. He has been a top performer and regular number one goalkeeper with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga for the past seven years.
“We are all excited that Bernd has chosen Arsenal Football Club and look forward to start working with him in pre-season.”
Arsenal is also in talks with Borussia Dortmund’s center-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos. The club is also looking to acquire Sampdoria’s midfielder Lucas Torreira. Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their team on its way to the 2018/2019 season, and they are well on their way to do just that.
