Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe have joined President Barack Obama during a special concert for veterans. The show featured a set from K-Dot that spanned the last five years of his career, even “A.D.H.D.,” “Money Trees,” and “Alright.”
“I got a few people who’ve been rocking with me for a while,” he said, before celebrating section.80’s 5-year-anniversary with cuts from the project. Before he ends his set, he honored the veterans in attendance with a vote of thank. “I love y’all,” he said. “I really appreciate y’all.”
Also, Janelle Monáe along side with him was ready to rock. After performing “Tightrope,” the Janelle Monáe delivered a tribute to the Purple One.

“I want to acknowledge a musical hero,” she said, “a mentor, and somebody who made a way for me.” Then, she performed Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.” “Make some noise if you believe in magic,” she added. “Scream for Prince.”
